You probably noticed a lack of updates to the Avatar Continuum lately. There's been an occasional update from time to time but for the most part the site has been gathering dust for a long time. The reason for this is a planned revamp of the site that took me way too long to complete. Every time I would settle on a new design and start work on recreating the site, I would change my mind on it's new design, quit in frustration, take a break, then start all over again. It's may have taken 18 months to finish, but welcome to the new site.

I've added a few new categories. The Comics section includes avatars from comics as well as covers and art from things like novels, childrens books, etc. While the Music Videos section will include avatars from music videos, live performances, album covers, etc. Despite taking a break from the site itself, over the last 18 months I have built up over 20,000 screenshots from hundreds of movies, tv shows, video games, comics, books, music videos, and more to edit into future avatars.

To coincide with the relaunch of the new and redesigned Avatar Continuum, I also decided to upload all the avatars I've created over the years but were yet to be added for various reasons. Some of these avatars I created and simply forgot about, some I started working on them and moved on to something else and never finished. Others were planned to be part of a future update or were intended to be released in a specific order. They are the last avatars I created at 96x96 pixels in size, while all future avatars will be 150x150 pixels.

I hope you enjoy the new site / revamp / relaunch. I really wanted it symbolise the end of one era by including the last of any possible update that would have matched the previous website, and celebrate the beginning of a new era with better avatars, a brand new site, and a ton of updates planned for many years to come.
